Katimavik is dedicated to fostering youth development in Canada through two transformative programs: FuturePerfect, which supports career readiness for young adults up to age 30, and the National Experience, an immersive five-month journey for youths aged 17-25. Since 1977, our programs have empowered over 37,000 young people and impacted more than 1,000 communities, creating engaged citizens, capable contributors, and compassionate leaders for a better future.

Our programs bridge cultures, strengthen community connections, and emphasize experiential learning and civic engagement. Through FuturePerfect and the National Experience, participants gain essential skills in employability, self-determination, and reconciliation. Participants learn from Indigenous teachings, contribute to local organizations, and grow as leaders ready to build a more inclusive society.

In 2024, we launched Generations of Impact: Drive the Change, a campaign to expand our reach and support more youths in navigating today’s challenges with resilience and empathy. With new project houses, increased outreach, and enhanced programming, Katimavik is poised to inspire even more young Canadians.
